The ideal candidate can work with our large base of customers by delivering quality care and outstanding and friendly customer service. You are responsible for the efficient admission of patients into the clinic while maintaining patient charts and performing other duties as directed. 

You will manage telephone traffic for the clinical services as needed and will schedule follow-up appointments for patients in an efficient and timely manner. The Medical Front Desk Receptionist is the first in-person interaction our patients have with our office. You play a vital role in the patient experience and can set the tone for the rest of a patient’s visit. 



 Medical Front Desk Manager and/or Assistant Manager



  • Maintains complete and accurate records and files.
  • Coordinates insurance and financial aspects of patient care with the appropriate business office staff and scheduling staff.
  • Schedules procedures and follow-up care
  • Coordinates specific scheduling requests as needed.
  • Greets and checks in patients on their appointment day while answering the phone and directing messages accordingly.
  • Prepares patient forms and consents and collects fees when appropriate. Assists patients with consent forms as needed.
  • Demonstrates ability to operate and maintain copy machine, computer, and keyboard.
  • Assists in keeping the waiting room neat and maintains stock of office supplies.
  • Participates in safety and performance improvement programs as directed.
  • Gives occasional lunch and telephone relief for other staff.
  • Always follows and maintains HIPAA.



  • High School graduate/GED preferred.
  • Must be 18 years old or older.



  • Familiarity with medical and vision insurance is preferred.
  • Spanish speaking desirable.
  • 1-3 years front desk/secretary/receptionist experience preferred but not required.
  • Read, write, communicate, and present a neat professional appearance.
  • Demonstrate reliability, a pleasant attitude, and a willingness to perform the duties as required.
  • Maintain and comply with patient confidentiality and integrity policies on all matters.



  • Sitting for 7-10 hours/day and multiple uses of the staircase to retrieve supplies, utilize the lunchroom, and enter/depart the building.  
  • Ability to enter keyboard data, dial the phone and use other office equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs. from floor to waist periodically.
