Job Title: Medical Receptionist

About the Role:
AppleOne has partnered with a local medical office that is seeking a dependable, patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced medical environment. Youll be the first point of contact for patients, helping to ensure a smooth and professional experience from scheduling to follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer multi-line phone system and schedule appointments
Collect and input patient demographics and insurance information accurately
Verify insurance coverage, including private insurance, workers compensation, and personal injury liens (PI liens) with attorneys
Screen patients to ensure eligibility and discuss procedure expectations
Coordinate appointment logistics with the appropriate imaging facility and confirm details with patients
Obtain pre-authorizations from insurance companies when necessary
Maintain up-to-date insurance and billing information in the system
Follow up with patients post-procedure and ensure timely delivery of radiology reports to referring physicians
Perform general front desk duties, such as greeting patients, handling mail and packages, taking messages, and working with vendors
Support general office operations, including filing and occasional assistance with marketing or sales-related tasks
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a medical receptionist, scheduler, or front desk coordinator
Familiarity with insurance verification and authorizations, including PI liens and workers' compensation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities
Basic proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
