The Business Services Representative Plastic Surgery serves as the first point of contact in a dynamic and friendly surgical practice located in Southbury, just off I-84. This is a unique opportunity to work in the field of plastic surgery while enjoying an upbeat, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include appointment scheduling, insurance verification, copay collection, referral coordination, and patient check-in/check-out. Also assists with chart preparation, incoming calls, and maintaining accurate documentation. Ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable in a setting that blends clinical care with aesthetic services. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in a medical office setting.

What you will do:

  • Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.

  • Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.

  • Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.

  • Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols in order to maximize provider productivity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience within a medical office or billing department preferred. Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred

  • Excellent keyboard skills. Requires proficiency in a Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office products. Accuracy and dependability required.
