Positions in this function are responsible for checking in, scheduling appointments, answering billing questions and managing patient medical records for a clinic. Roles may vary based on the size of the clinic(s).
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Location: 5100 E Paisano, El Paso TX
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional service to all customers
Responsible to greet patient and check patient in and out. Ensure demographics including insurance information are correct and update as necessary
Collect appropriate co-pays and adhere to all cash handling policies
Answers phone, takes messages and routes calls appropriately
Schedule appointments as necessary, verifying correct visit type and primary care provider
Responsible for waiting room management cleanliness, communicate pertinent information to patients and ensure all patients have been assisted
Work with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Resolve service issues and complaints, and defer to appropriate management or clinical personnel when necessary
Assist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areas
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
2+ years of customer service experience
2+ years of experience with medical terminology and prior authorizations
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of medical front desk experience
2+ years of electronic medical record experience
2+ years of health plan insurance knowledge
Experience with data analysis software
Bilingual (English / Spanish)
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
