DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : \n
\n
- Receives incoming calls, greets visitors and schedules appointments utilizing current computer system. Directs them to appropriate staff members. \n
- Schedules appointments for all services provided within the clinic. \n
- Coordinate transfer of medical records to be received prior to office visit for new patients. \n
- Uses recall and alerts to schedule patients that are due for screenings. \n
- Ensure patients provide current insurance and demographic information. \n
- Accurately check in patients for scheduled appointments and complete necessary forms. \n
- Reviews RTS daily and informs Benefit Coordinators if no active insurance coverage. \n
- Updates patient status and demographics in electronic medical record. \n
- Scans and files all patient information in electronic health record \n
- Record all patient information utilizing specified forms and scan information into record. \n
- Promotes Patient Portal to meet meaningful use requirements. \n
- Explain general eligibility requirements and refer questions to appropriate staff. \n
- Utilizes available system reports to complete registration tasks. \n
- Works positively with all staff members to ensure quality patient care. \n
- Responsible of obtaining consents and maintaining current HIPAA on file. \n
- Ensure waiting area is neat and organized. \n
- Participate on committees as assigned. \n
- Other duties as assigned \n \n

REQUIREMENTS: \n
\n
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and two years of clerical experience within a medical healthcare setting. \n
- Must have at least one year experience working with electronic medical record system. \n
- Able to work efficiently in a fast pace work environment. \n
- Must maintain patient rights and confidentiality. \n
- Must possess computer skills, prefer familiarity with Excel, other Microsoft Office programs. \n
- Prefer knowledge of medical terminology and overall clinical operations. \n
- Prefer ability to speak and understand Meskwaki. \n
- Must be sensitive to the Tribal customs and health needs of the Tribe. \n
- Must submit to and successfully complete background investigation. \n \n
