MEDICAL OFFICER REGISTRATION CLERK

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Office Registration Clerk to serve as the first point of contact for

patients. This role is responsible for accurately registering patients, verifying demographic and insurance information,

and ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong

interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume front desk environment.

Responsibilitites:

Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner.

Accurately collect and enter patient demographic, insurance, and contact information into the electronic

medical record (EMR) system.

Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and referral requirements prior to services.

Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at the time of service.

Ensure all required registration forms, consents, and documentation are completed and signed.

Maintain and update patient records with a high degree of accuracy.

Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions regarding appointments, billing, and office procedures.

Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to support patient flow.

Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and registration processes preferred.

Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications.
