Medical Biller/Collector - Direct Hire

Onsite | Kettering, OH

Pay range: $60,000-$65,000 annually

Overview

On behalf of our client, a skilled nursing facility in Kettering, Ohio, we are seeking an experienced Medical Biller/Collector to manage resident billing, collections, and account accuracy. This is a directhire, fully onsite opportunity for someone comfortable working closely with residents and families regarding financial responsibilities while maintaining compliant and accurate accounts receivable.

Key responsibilities

  • Meet with residents and families to review insurance coverage, explain balances, and discuss financial responsibility in a clear and compassionate manner
  • Manage privatepay collections and document followup activity on delinquent accounts to support accurate A/R aging
  • Bill and post monthly charges by pay source in accordance with internal calendars and close deadlines, including Private Pay, Medicare, Medicaid, MyCare Buckeye, commercial insurance, and Workers' Compensation
  • Post payments promptly to resident ledgers and reconcile accounts to ensure ongoing accuracy
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations and assist with monthend close activities
  • Maintain accurate resident trust and ledger accounts in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Safeguard resident funds in accordance with established guidelines and internal controls
  • Assist with additional business office duties as needed

Required qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or longterm care environment
  • Handson experience with medical billing and collections, including privatepay collections and followup activity
  • Experience with dunning letters, liens, estates, and sensitive account resolution
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Comfortable discussing sensitive financial matters with residents and families in a professional and empathetic manner

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
