Medical Billing Collections Specialist

Pay From: $22 per hour

MUST:
3+ years of medical billing experience with strong collections experience
Very comfortable calling patients and reviewing outstanding balances
Setting up payment plans with patients
Working with collection agencies
Electronic billing systems experience
Accounts Receivable experience
Strong insurance and benefits experience
Experience working with insurance companies, commercial as well as Medicare and Medicaid
High School Diploma

DUTIES:
The Duties of the Medical Collections candidate include but are not limited to the following:
Manage pre-collections
Coordinate account adjustments
Send overdue accounts to collection agencies
Monitor accounts that are 45 plus days past due
Call patients who have past due accounts to collect payments or set up payment plans
Ensure timely follow-up and working on payment resolutions
Generate collection reports and review
Send collection reports to managers
Adjust accounts to collections when needed
Perform automatic or manual adjustments to accounts
Upload collection reports
Communicate with collection agencies and remove accounts when needed
Accept and apply payments for past-due accounts as needed
