Saint Alphonsus Health System in Nampa, ID is looking for an energetic and organized Patient Registration Specialist II to join the team!
As a Patient Registration Specialist II , you will provide patient-focused customer service. You will support inpatient/outpatient registration and insurance verifications. You will be responsible for collecting financial payments and coordinating medical necessity for Medicare, pre-certifications, and referrals. You will also help provide general information and guidance to patients and guests of the facility. As a Level II, you will be cross-trained in all areas of registration, fluent in insurance/benefit information, and familiar with the coding required for varied departments.
POSITION DETAILS: This position will have a full-time mixed-shift schedule. Availability to cover days, nights, weekdays, weekends, etc. is preferred. This position will support all areas of Nampa registration including surgery, main ED, Garrity ED, and front desk.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire .
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR LEVEL II:
Minimum of two (2) years hospital registration or insurance verification experience upon hire.
Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic coding & procedural coding required .
Ability to explain insurance benefits
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Apply knowledge of Trinity Health policies and procedures to ensure quality, confidentiality, and safety.
Support operational projects by compiling and synthesizing data into clear summaries and visual presentations.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making and demonstrate ROI.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
Continuously learn and adapt to new departmental processes and technologies.
