Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs clerical and general office work of moderate difficulty, registers and pre-registers patients, schedules ancillary procedures, assists patients and guarantors with insurance questions, and works hospital and office procedures pre-certification. Performs duties of obtaining authorizations, referrals, account payment questions, collections for services, prepares deposits, and scans orders while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Education

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience:
- Required
- One or more years of experience in Clerical/General Office setting
- Preferred
- One or more years in Medical Billing/Insurance Authorization
- One or more years of Medical Terminology Knowledge
- One or more years in Cash Handling
