Often serving as the first point of contact, you will help patients navigate appointments, registration, insurance, and communication with empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail. This highly visible role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional service while supporting patients receiving specialized oncology care. Your work directly contributes to both the patient experience and the coordination of high-quality cancer care across our multidisciplinary team. What You'll Do Welcome and assist patients and families during check-in and check-out for cancer care visits Answer incoming calls, address patient questions, and schedule appointments with empathy and professionalism Support patients in enrolling in and using MyChart to stay connected to their care team Accurately enter and update demographic, insurance, and financial information to support smooth patient access and continuity of care Coordinate and communicate important information with physicians, nurses, and other members of the oncology care team Assist with insurance verification, authorizations, referrals, and billing-related questions Collect and process patient payments including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and prior balances Help patients complete necessary forms and documentation related to their care Manage EPIC work queues, worklists, in-basket messages, and document scanning in a timely and accurate manner Schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, and diagnostic services to support continuity of cancer treatment What Makes This Role Meaningful In this role, you are more than a scheduler or registrar you are an important part of the patient care experience.
