Patient Access Representative I

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Pay Rate: $28-$35/hour

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently hiring for a Patient Access Representative I opportunity with a leading healthcareanization in Palo Alto, CA. This is a contract position supporting patient registration and customer service operations within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Because operations run 24/7, candidates must be flexible with scheduling. Weekend availability is preferred.

Available Shift Windows

Morning Shift start times: 7:00 AM - 9:30 AM

Afternoon Shift start times: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Evening Shift start times: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Position Overview

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for supporting patient admissions and registration functions, assisting with insurance verification, processing required documentation, and delivering excellent customer service to patients and staff. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals with strong customer service experience who are interested in growing within healthcare administration.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and begin the registration/admissions process

Handle routine patient inquiries and provide service recovery when needed

Process admission and registration paperwork accurately

Verify insurance coverage and collect required documentation for billingpliance purposes

Securely handle and record point-of-service payments

Maintain professionalmunication with patients, physicians, staff, and guests

Meet productivity and performance standards established by leadership

Escalate advanced orplex registration issues appropriately

Support daily Patient Access operations while delivering excellent customer service

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum 1 year of customer service experience

Strongmunication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable working withputer systems and multiple software applications

Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of ananization

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a healthcare setting

Epic experience

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance types including Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO, PPO, POS, Workers' Compensation, and related healthcare programs

Pay Details: $28.00 to $35.00 per hour
