Position Purpose:

  • Lead, HIM Specialist monitors and adjusts the daily workload operations and staffing within the HIM Department to ensure service levels and turnaround times are met. records for deficiency and quality Specialty: Hospice
  • Location : Primary location: Mount Carmel Grove City but must be able to travel to Mount Carmel East and Mount Carmel St.Ann's
  • Hours of office: 40 hour week - 8:00a - 4:30p

What You Will Do:

  • Lead HIM Specialist position is responsible for a variety of tasks that support the day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Duties include primary contact person for the department when the Manager is unavailable, monitor and adjusts daily workloads, primary backup support during vacancies, absences, etc.,
  • Assists with training and orientation of new and existing colleagues, quality monitoring, assist with implementation of new applications such as the ODH OVRS system and new Hyland Doc Mgmt.
  • Scanning process, and assist with any hospital or Trinity initiatives directed by the Manager, HIM.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management is preferred.
  • Licensure / Certification: Certification as RHIA or RHIT (recognized by American Health Information Management Association) preferred.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of direct experience and at least 1 year of work leadership experience.
