Express Employment is looking for a part time Medical Front Desk Receptionist/Assistant for a small, patient-focused general practice dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to our community. Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable, professional, and friendly Medical Front Desk Receptionist/Assistant to join our team. This individual will be the first point of contact for patients and play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient front office environment, while also supporting basic clinical or administrative tasks as needed. Responsibilities: Greet and check in patients with warmth and professionalism Schedule and confirm patient appointments Answer multi-line phone system and respond to inquiries Collect and verify insurance information and copayments Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system Prepare charts and ensure documentation is complete prior to visits Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations as needed Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and medical records Keep the front desk and waiting area clean and organized Assist clinical team with administrative support or basic clinical prep tasks, as directed Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times Assist with patient vital signs and basic clinical tasks as needed Support the clinical team with rooming patients and clinical prep Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Previous medical front office or assistant experience preferred Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting Professional demeanor and dependable attendance Schedule: Part-Time, 32 hours per week Compensation & Benefits: Hourly pay range: $18-$20 per hour (commensurate with experience)
