Urgent need for a BI-LINGUAL front office/back office medical receptionist for a local primary care clinic.
Responsibilities:
Front Office Duties:
Greet and check in/check out patients in a courteous and professional manner
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
Answer multi-line phone system, respond to inquiries, and relay messages
Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed
Collect copays, balances, and process payments
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure completion of required forms (HIPAA, consents, etc.)
Back Office Duties:
Assist with preparing exam rooms and equipment
Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, etc.)
Assist healthcare providers with basic clinical procedures (e.g., EKGs, specimen collection, injections if certified)
Update patient charts and enter clinical data into EMR
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical area
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Medical certification preferred but not required.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
1+ year of experience in a medical office preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes a plus
Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
