Job Description

At Spring Klein Physical Therapy, we provide a friendly, positive environment while delivering high-quality care to our patients. We have an opportunity for a PRN Medical Receptionist who shares the same work ethic. Come join our friendly team at our outpatient orthopedic clinic in Baton Rouge.

• Greet patients and provide outstanding customer service
• Coordinating the care for each patient from initial evaluation to discharge
• Answering phones
• Electronic scheduling
• Data entry
• Verifying current personal and financial information
• Maintaining patient charts and electronic medical records
• Collecting, posting, and depositing patient payments
• Faxing, filing, and performing any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year medical front office experience
• Proven experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
• Experience with insurance verification and medical scheduling
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Exceptional multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented approach to maintaining accurate patient records
• Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
• Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
• Flexibility to work varying schedules as needed (PRN basis)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
