Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and organizing all medical records in accordance with established procedures and regulations, answering phone calls, and scheduling patient appointments.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage medical records ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Ensure all records are properly filed and stored
- Retrieve patient records for healthcare providers as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all medical records
- Process record requests from patients, insurance companies, and other authorized parties
- Update electronic health records systems with new information
- Assist with coding and indexing of medical records
- Answer phone calls
- Schedule patient appointments
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical office procedures
- Knowledge of medical records management
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Courteous to patients and other healthcare personnel
