Job Description
An Associate Patient Coordinator position in Dunedin, FL is now available through Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences. In this role, you will be responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols.
**Contract type:** Minimum 6-month temp role (possible extension or temp-hire)
**Work hours:** Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm
**Start date:** August 2025
**Hourly pay rate:** $ 19.08/hr.
**Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:**
Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes
Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals
Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time
Complete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification, copy required documents
Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts
Processes walk-in patients and visitors
Answers phones and schedules appointments
Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed
Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)
Ask patients for and/or assist patients with completing required paperwork (e.g., health history, insurance documentation, etc.)
Connect patients with outside resources (e.g., community resources, social services) to promote self-care
Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
**Qualifications:**
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
Strong communication and customer service skills both in person and via phone
Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
