Medical Biller - Oncology Insurance Specialist

Pay From: $24 per hour
DUTIES:
The Oncology Medical Biller - Pre-authorization Specialist will have experience:
3 plus years of experience working in an Oncology setting
Minimum 3 years of Medical Billing and/or Coding Experience
Workable knowledge of CPT, ICD10, medical terminology and anatomy
Workable knowledge and understanding of payer EOBs
Workable knowledge and understanding of CMS, Medicare, Medicaid and other payer guidelines
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to interact with patients, patient representative, insurance companies and others in a clear, positive and professional manner is a must
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EMR, E-mail, Internet and Insurance Payer portals
DUTIES:
Process and Obtain Chemotherapy Infusion Authorizations for office
Obtain Tricare and VA Authorizations for office
Investigate and respond to patient in-person or phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Obtain Medicaid Travel approvals
Maintain confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness in documentation
Backup to other team members when they are out of office
